Key Resources for Law Enforcement and HIV recommended by David Patterson (IDLO)

A critical target for Sustainable Development Goal 3 envisions an “end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases and combat hepatitis, water-borne diseases and other communicable diseases” by 2013. Ongoing work conducted by the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and Law Enforcement and HIV Network (LEAHN) amongst others highlights the role that police can play in advancing or preventing progress towards this target. The below resources and articles capture lessons learned and key projects that specifically address HIV and law enforcement, and may be of interest to INPROL members.
