New UNAIDS report: Health, Rights and Drugs

 

LEAHN Country Focal Points from Thailand and Ghana contributed to the new UNAIDS 2019 report on Health, Rights and Drugs: Harm reduction, decriminalization and zero discrimination for people who use drugs.

“BASICALLY THE POLICE SEEM TO BE A MAIN BARRIER FOR HARM REDUCTION POLICY IMPLEMENTATION.HOWEVER, IF THE POLICE WORK CLOSELY WITH CIVIL SOCIETY, IT WILL HELP A LOT IN TERMS OF HIV PREVENTION AND HARM REDUCTION SERVICE PROVISION.”
